Senior Accountant - (Glenwood, MN)

Responsible for the general accounting functions to include preparing journal entries, Supporting POS system, maintaining balance sheet schedules and assisting with monthly reconciliations. Analyze expenses to forecast and budget, setup of financial reports and assists with monthly closings and account analysis. Essential Duties and Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare journal entries. Complete general ledger operations. Process monthly closings and prepare monthly financial statements. Monitor and trend actual SG&A expenses to forecast (selling, general & administration). Develop and maintain chart of accounts, departments, operating units and reporting trees. Develop and maintain financial reporting. Develop and maintain financial databases for reporting packages. Analyze the effect of financial transactions from process/system changes. Assist with daily/weekly/monthly processes of reconciling POS system, balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations.
