We are seeking a motivated?Water Quality Chemist?to join our team in Silver Spring, MD! (EPA, Gas Chromatography, Organic Chemistry, GC, GC-MS)Job description:Perform chemical and/or microbiological procedures (e.g., ICP, Hg Analyzers, ICP-MS) on drinking water and wastewater samples.? Work with the QA/QC team to uphold EPA standards throughout water sampling process.KEY FUNCTIONS: Perform metal analysis and/or organic testing on water specimens Use instruments for determination of microbiological organisms, physical properties, metals, and inorganic and organic chemical constituents Tests/Instruments may include: ICP Hg Analyzers ICP-MS TOC Analyzers Flow Injection Analyzers GC Review, approve, and enter all resulting data into LIMS system and other appropriate databases Research new technological advancements for laboratory use Conduct special research projects for Lab DirectorREQUIRED BACKGROUND: Bachelor?s degree in chemistry, microbiology, biology
