Senior Procurement Specialist - (Rockville, MD)

Summary of the Position The Senior Procurement Specialist is a hands-on position responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, as needed, for a growing portfolio of Global Public Health (GPH) programs, including U.S. Government, others donor and USP funded programs. S/he will manage the entire procurement process for equipment, supplies, and Pharmaceutical, and execute and coordinate the day-to-day procurement functions in close collaboration with the program staff both in the US office and in the field offices. The Senior Procurement Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert for GPH procurement of goods and Services functions and ensure compliance with donor rules and regulations as well as USP internal policies and procedures. S/he will also be responsible for procurement related manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and for working with program staff and leadership/management on their revisions to bring efficiency in the procurement procedures.
