Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World Corrosion Control - Aircraft Mechanic I Position title/Location: Corrosion Control Worker (Mech1):Occupational Summary: Smoothens surfaces with sand paper, roughens surfaces with acid solution and non-corrosive abrasives to ensure that paint adheres to surface, masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted. Performs scheduled and unscheduled corrosion prevention and treatment maintenance at the Organizational Level on F/A-18.The AIR CONDITIONING-1 Mech – Corrosion Control works under min supervision to safely prepare, paint, and detail aircraft in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Stores, handles, uses and disposes of hazardous waste chemicals in accordance with Federal, State, and local environmental protection laws. Properly takes care of and maintains shop equipment and tools.
