Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Computer Science - (Mt Vernon, IA)

The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a full time continuing member of the faculty at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor depending upon requirements. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (ABD considered), or a Master's degree with relevant professional expertise. The department welcomes applications from applicants with special interests in any part of computer science. It will favor applicants who show a readiness to engage students in collaborative research, service to the community, or professional practice. The successful applicant will be prepared to teach in the 1st year any of the 5 courses required for the major (discrete mathematics, computer organization, and a sequence of 3 courses that culminates in a study of algorithms and data structures).
