What Your Job Will Be Like We are seeking a R&D Manager to lead the Energy Nanomaterials Department, which consists of chemists, materials scientists, physicists, engineers, technologists, and interns who carry out research for a wide spectrum of customers and sponsors. You will work together with the staff to ensure project alignment with current and anticipated customer needs and will also work to develop emerging areas to advance the Laboratories- energy and national security mission objectives. You will engage with the broader Sandia materials science community across Laboratories to ensure that materials science resources, core competencies, and scientific capabilities are optimized and deployed to advance Sandia-s mission areas and strategic objectives.
