Job Requisition ID:15044 Additional Locations: We are currently seeking a creative and motivated Senior Designer to join the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt BFYR Design team in New York City. In this role, the Senior Designer will design covers and interiors primarily for Young Adult and Middle Grade novels. In this role, the Senior Designer will: - Excellent organizational and communication abilities, especially when presenting designs and cover concepts - Solid understanding of production process, color correction of proofs, timely routing of materials - Min 4+ years of design background required - A strong interest in childrens books - Pre:press background desired - Concept, design, and manage multiple projects per season with guidance from the Creative Director. - Design and layout jackets and interiors to maintain production schedules. Background with heavily illustrated interiors is a plus. - Adaptability, working in a fast:paced and dynamic work atmosphere
