Title GIS Technician Location Atlanta, Georgia 30308 Duration twelve months Description The Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Transportation Data, will be undertaking a short-term GIS related project requiring four operators. At this time, the project is expected to last approx 12-13 weeks. If the initial scope is completed prior to that time, the scope will be broadened to fill the twelve week time frame. Should the scope not be completed by the 12th week, determination will be made at that time whether to continue until completed or end at that time. Project Information The Department collects video imagery of the state owned road system every year. These pictures are useful for a variety of purposes, including locating and inventorying of roadside assets. This project is to determine the level of effort required to gather a complete sign inventory along the state owned road network.
