Telecommunication Field Engineer (Technician) - (Chicopee, MA)

Chicopee Electric Light (CEL) is seeking a Telecommunication Field Engineer (Technician) Telecommunication Field Engineer –This position is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of fiber optic equipment and cabling for services. When new subscribers order service, this position will coordinate the installation of the new lines, provision customer euipment, perform testing and splicing operations, and install equipment at the customer premise. When issues are detected or reported by subscribers, this position will troubleshoot the lines and equipment to remedy the issues. This is a key position and will be called upon to resolve the highest level technical issues. Candidate must have an Associate's Degree in Computer Details Systems, Engineering, or equivalent business background. Min five years previous background fusion splicing and testing fiber optic cable is required.
