Cook Application by Invitation Only - (Asheville, NC)

This is a contract TEMPORARY position (July first, 2018 - July first, 2019). Perform a variety of food preparation duties, such as preparing cold foods& shellfish, slicing meat,& brewing coffee or tea, and cooking, grilling, sautéing, and pantry responsibilities as needed; 35 hrs/wk; shifts vary (7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM); must be able to work weekends& holidays; $11.74/hr Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. and walk, stand, stoop, pull& push on a regular and prolonged basis. Must meet hiring standards of Biltmore: Must be functionally literate, able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and have a criminal background investigation void of any misdemeanors within 2 yrs or felonies within 7 yrs. Shifts vary; will train. Will check references. Qualifications No prior background required. Must be functionally literate. High-school education preferred. Drug screening and background investigation required of all Biltmore hires. Candidates must be at least sixteen years of age.
