Cooks - (Asheville, NC)

This is a TEMPORARY position (April 1, 2019 - January 1, 2020). Perform a variety of food preparation duties, such as preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat, brewing coffee or tea, cooking, grilling, sautéing, pastry and pantry responsibilities as needed. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. All candidates (U.S. workers and foreign workers) must meet hiring standards of Biltmore: must be functionally literate, able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have a criminal experience investigation void of any misdemeanors within 2yrs or felonies within 7 yrs. Will check references. Employer will conduct experience investigation and reference check post offer of employment and prehire. Must be able to lift 40lbs and walk, stand, stoop, push, pull on a regular and prolonged basis. Shifts: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm - 11 pm, 11 pm - 7 am. Thursday - Wednesday, 35 hours per week. $13.15 per hour and $19.73 per hour for OT when available. Merit increases and performance bonuses possible.
