Mechanical Engineering Lab Technician - (Mahwah, NJ)

Position summary --- Participate in all Activities Required to Operate within the ME Lab: o Maintain all Instrumentation o Manage Local Warehouse of Tools and Components o Procure Lab/Project Materials o Ensure a Safe Workplace atmosphere is Maintained o General Housekeeping --- Assist Engineers for R&D Projects, Troubleshooting, Testing, etc. --- Assemble and Modify Pneumatic and Hydraulic Tools --- Operate and Modify Test Equipment --- Technical Assistance of Supply Chain (Manufacturers, Assembly) --- Technical Assistance of Customers (Internal and External) --- Test Tools per Written Procedures --- Generate Test Procedures and Test Reports where necessary --- Provide Input for Development of New Products --- Operate Basic Machine Tools (drill press, milling machine, lathe---) Position qualifications --- Mechanically inclined with Critical thinking skills --- Expertise to Follow Instructions of Engineers and the ME Lab Supervisor.
