UTILITY OPERATOR II (WASTEWATER) CITY OF EAU CLAIRE Are you a driven self-starter looking for an exciting employment opportunity? The City of Eau Claire is currently accepting applications for a Utility Operator II position in the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Community Services Department. This position is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, and aux apparatus for the municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant and lift stations. The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of generators, pumps, electric motors, and wastewater instrumentation; current understanding of hydraulics and electricity; and the expertise to react quickly and calmly in emergency operating situations. State of Wisconsin DNR certification in Wastewater Operator at the Grade four level with subclasses in Primary Treatment, Activated Sludge, Phosphorus Removal, Disinfection, Laboratory, Anaerobic Digestion, and Mechanical Sludge is required within 2 years of hire.
