Board Counsel-City of Tallahassee Independent Ethics Board The Independent Ethics Board was created by Tallahassee City voters following a citizen-led initiative in November 2014.-- The Board seeks to contract with an attorney to serve as its Board counsel. The Board Counsel position will be selected and report to the City of Tallahassee Independent Ethics Board.-- Board counsel should expect to attend the Board meeting on February 19, 2019. Board Counsel should reside in Leon County. The Board seeks background in advising governmental bodies and knowledge of governmental ethics. The individual should have at least eight years of legal background. Concentration in government law and knowledge of the State Ethics Code and local government law are preferred.-- The applicant must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar with no history of bar discipline.
