Insurance Authorization/Referral Specialist - (Prescott Valley, AZ)

Position summary The Insurance Authorization/Referral Specialist supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality by obtaining authorizations and referrals to support the efficient and effective operation of Yavapai Regional Medical Center and the Physician Care practices and providing services for pre-registration, pre-service collections, medical necessity checking, and patient referrals to appropriate sources for follow up as needed. This position uses outstanding customer service skills to meet the client intake and info services of both our internal and external customers. Job Requirements Necessary experience: High-school graduate or GED Two Years of medical office, authorization or hospital environment background OR a combination of background and education in a medical course of study from an licensed school Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
