Agropur is currently hiring for Evaporator Operator in our Lake Norden, S.D. facility: Key functions include the following Follow complicated startup procedure of equipment. Monitoring raw whey flow into balance tank, through pasteurizer and to evaporator for condensing and then ultimately to a crystallizer tank for drying into dried Sweet Dairy Whey powder production. Regulating factors such as whey solids, and temperature and making adjustments depending on the type of whey to be produced. Taking frequent readings and logging upwards of fifty variables. Operating Clean In Place (CIP) cycles. Troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery. Cleaning and sanitation of all parts of Whey Evaporator department including walls, floors, and equipment. Assisting all other coworkers with tasks and duties within the department. Secondary Functions include the following: Performs other duties as assigned.
