WG-07: This is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the target position of Painter, WG-4102-09. Incumbent works closely with supervisor or higher level journeyman in performing duties. WG-09:The primary purpose of this position is to prepare ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces and apply coating materials to surfaces by standard coating methods. Responsibilities WG-07: Prepares surfaces by stripping, scraping, masking and sanding surfaces. Mixes, thins, blends, and matches coating materials following specific oral and written directives. Uses and maintains tools Applies coating materials such as primers, and paints using standard application techniques and ensures that the coating finish meets surface protection requirements
