Insurance Credentialing Specialist - (Fort Pierce, FL)

Description: Responsible for initial credentialing of Providers. Prepares and processes facility applications to credential the Agency. Duties: 1.0 Responsible for initial credentialing of Providers. 1.1 Meets with newly hired licensed providers to assess current insurance credentials. 1.2 Generates appropriate applications completing preliminary info and forwards to licensed providers for review and further completion. 1.3 Compiles the appropriate supportive documents to accompany application. 1.4 Tracks the progress of the credentialing process, informing appropriate staff of any issues. 1.5 Notifies appropriate staff of effective date of credentialed staff and provider numbers if applicable. 1.6 Reviews and distributes re-credentialing applications as needed. 2.0 Maintains Provider credentialing info. 2.1 Maintains provider info spreadsheet, approved provider list, managed care contact list and distributes as appropriate.
