Director of Development - (New Orleans, LA)

As a nonprofit organization we are dedicated to the elimination of animal suffering, and have been committed to serving the needs of the people and animals in New Orleans and across the region for more than 130 yrs. Our mission is to promote, protect and advance the well-being of Louisiana's companion animals. Overview of the Job: The Director of Development will articulate the vision of the organization's impact demonstrating that it is worth every dollar invested in it. The Director will develop and nurture relationships internally, so every employee can be an ambassador, and externally to help grow the organization's success. The Director is also responsible for creating, implementing and overseeing the strategic approach to fundraising which includes major gifts, corporate and individual donations, and grant solicitation.
