Janitor - (Miami, FL)

The janitor is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all common areas throughout the building.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Cleans common areas including (but not limited to) restrooms, conference rooms, and cafeterias- Cleans floors and surfaces by wiping, sweeping, mopping or scrubbing as needed- Dusts furniture, washes walls, dusts and polishes light fixtures, cleans windows and dusts blinds- Gathers and empties trash bins/receptacles- Follows procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power cleaning equipment to prevent damage to floors/fixtures- Stocks and maintain supply rooms as needed- Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (i.e. waxing floors, shampooing carpets) as needed- Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair to supervisorJOB SKILLS REQUIRED:- Basic English language skills- Attention to detail- Able to prioritize work- Interact effectively with employees at all organizational levelsREQUIRED BACKGROUND:- High-school diploma or equivalent- Min of one year
