Purchasing Assistant - (Conklin, NY)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To assist the buyer in accurately finalizing all info of inbound ordering and purchase order follow through. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Confirm vendor receipt of purchase orders Match vendor price confirmation to purchase order expected pricing Add delivery fees to purchase orders Adjust PO quantities/prices delivery dates as instructed by buyer or vendor Ensure purchase orders are shipped and scheduled to deliver on time Track missing deliveries Communicate delivery issues, shortages, price discrepancies to buyer Assist in sample/special order process as needed Additional administrative/reporting tasks as directed by supervisors REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
