Registered Veterinary Technician - (Amelia, OH)

Our successful, high volume, and growing animal hospital, in Amelia, is in need of an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our animal loving staff. We see patients 7 days per week, as well as emergencies after hours. Working mornings, evenings, and weekends is required. Candidates who are qualified will be required to perform the following tasks, as well as any additional tasks, as assigned: Assist the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures Collect and preserve laboratory samples that must be shipped offsite for comprehensive testing Perform digital radiographs and assist in ultrasound procedures Care for hospitalized patients Fill prescriptions, as requested, by the veterinarian and review medications with clients Educate clients on our Wellness Plans and preventative care Set up appointments in the exam rooms -Valid Veterinary Technician Certification is required -Effective communication and leadership skills are a must -two years as a veterinary technician is
