Natural Resources Scientist - (Lafayette, LA)

Position: Natural Resources Scientist Requisition Number: 2018-2001-01 S&ME, Inc., an engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking a full time Natural Resources Scientist for our Lafayette, Louisiana location. The preferred applicant will have regional experience and knowledge of federal and state permitting requirements and coastal policies, as well as an understanding of local issues and restoration programs along the Gulf coast of Louisiana and Texas in regards to both conducting field work and preparing permitting materials. Specifically, the perfect applicant will have experience with some or all of the following: investigating, assessing impacts, and writing documents or providing oversight for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance (Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements); experience collecting project related data which may include field investigations for wetlands; conducting surveys for wildlife
