Job DescriptionNCW is now seeking a Buyer/ Planner, with background in manufacturing and supply chain management, for a contract position located in the Indianapolis Area. This is a twelve month contract position with a reputable company in the area. The Buyer/Planner reports to the Supply Planning Manager and is primarily responsible for effective daily management of direct material. The position interacts primarily with suppliers and internal receiving, accounts payable and demand planning.Primary responsibilitiesDirect Material Purchase Order Management Responsibilities: Review, approve, and release purchase orders Follow up on POEDC messages (Expedite, de-expedite, cancel purchase orders) Update promise delivery dates on purchase orders in ERP system Interface with suppliers on day to day questions Manage supplier shutdown activities including manual demand signals and manual purchase orders Interact with various functions as necessary to resolve invoicing issuesData Management Responsibilities: Manage
