Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities * Design assembly automation fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies and stations typically used in the Automotive Powertrain industry * Effectively communicate with vendors, co-workers and customers while completing design tasks * Design automotive powertrain assembly stations to conform to as-sold specifications as described in written sales proposals and kick-off meetings * Develop conceptual solutions and alternatives * Process flow sequences and strategies * Part handling and fixturing methods * Station concepts, including operating sequences, timing charts * Material flow with system layouts and arrangements * Understand customer design and build specifications and specific project qualifications as described by customer supplied documents * Provide completed designs that meet high-quality standards, cost targets
