Basic Function The Lab Scientist applies chemistry ability to solve technical problems relating to Aramco Performance Materials (APM) manufacturing and process development activities. Duties & Responsibilities Plan, schedule and execute lab-scale chemistry experiments in the course of chemical process development and improvement efforts Conduct experiments and studies in support of individual projects to improve safety, reliability, capacity, yield and quality Initiate detailed work outline and make decisions as to basic approaches, processes or equipment Carry out original investigations relating to technical problems outside the scope of available literature Keep current with significant developments in the field of specialization, will be expected to use these in investigative assignments when applicable Document all results in the form of Memos and Technical Reports Maintain and update working expertise of applicable laboratory instrumentation
