Purpose: The Nonproliferation Systems (NS) Group, within the Nuclear Security and Isotope Technology Division (NSITD), Oak Ridge National Laboratory, seeks to hire a .Net programmer to join its Software engineering team. NSITD is a world-class leader in the development and deployment of technology for nuclear security and radioisotope production. Partnering with subject matter experts, our developers solve complex problems through software solutions including mission-management systems, data collection, materials tracking, and analytical tools. Main job duties for the position include:Collaborating with project managers, subject matter experts, and other developers to define and document requirements.Developing and coding web and desktop applications, primarily in the Microsoft .NET environment.Programming, testing, documenting, and managing data on new and existing software projects. Translating and interpreting user requirements into functional software using standardized coding techniques.
