JOB SUMMARY: To provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. The registered nurse also is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said patient care. Administers and performs specialized nursing care according to assigned unit and treatments for patient. Requirements: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Education: 1. Current State of nursing license. Background: 1. A min of one year previous critical care background and/or open heart background wanted. 2. A min of six months licensed nursing practice on a telemetry step-down unit and successful completion of a critical care training program preferred for critical care nurses. 3. A min of 6 mnths license nursing practice on a critical care unit. Other Requirements: 1. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support card 2.
