The diagnoses of patient's cared for in the unit include, but is not limited to ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIA, seizure, and altered mental status. The unit also receives overflow spinal surgery patients. The nursing unit provides continuous, around-the-clock patient care by a staff of nurses and nursing care partners trained to care for the neurological patient.
