Position description Position: Buyer II Location: Windsor Mill, MD Full:Time Job duties of Buyer II: :Place orders for Printed Circuit Boards, Fabricated Material and Electronic Components using MRP system according to established guidelines and dollar limits. Acts as a liaison between vendors, manufacturing and the engineering department. :Place Purchase Orders per MRP system notifications. :Manage open purchase orders to ensure that suppliers deliver parts on:time, per commitment. :Maintain the system data on a real:time basis and ensure its accuracy such that it can be used to make customer commitments :Act as the primary point of contact and oversight to major subcontracts such as metal fabrication, printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication and contract assembly. :Ensure the lowest possible cost and best quality in the market for all components is being achieved. :Negotiate pricing with suppliers by gaining market details through available media, benchmarking, and comparison with similar technologies/parts.
