Rn Emergency Department Clinical Quality Specialist - Carteret General Hospital Department Education/Clinical Practice Schedule Full time Shift Varies Hours varied Position description Definition of Position: Works collaboratively, efficient & effectively with the teams, specialty department staff, providers and Director to ensure that education needs are assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated to ensure quality standard of patient care and outcomes are maintained, as well as regulatory standard requirements are met. Proactively monitors the real time performance, safety behaviors and medical record documentation related to patient safety & quality initiatives. Requirements: A. Professional (1) Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. (2) MSN preferred; BS required and BSN within eighteen months of position if not already obtained. (3) BLS Healthcare provider certification (4) Min of five years in nursing; with two years being in the specialty area.
