Laborer -Melt Shop Production - (Hubbard, OH)

As a Casting Production Laborer for Ellwood Engineered Castings, your career can have tremendous potential. Producers of the largest iron castings available in North America, our facilities in Hubbard, OH are some of the most productive and efficient in our industry. Our melt shop consists of three, 55-ton coreless induction furnaces that produce accurate iron chemistries for our clients, and it makes for a fast-paced, high-energy work atmosphere where you will be continually challenged and encouraged to grow. This will be a third shift role, starting around 9-10pm. Essential Duties and Assignments include: * Inspecting and sweeping out molds * Using ladle to extract hot metal from the torpedo * Checking temperatures of Iron * Pouring iron and skimming slag off the top as the flask fills * Adding compound to top of iron to assure its liquidity * Taking samples of iron and recording data on cast sheet * Reading and working to blueprints and spec sheets * Performing additional duties that may become necessary
