Lead Truck Mechanic - (Aberdeen, MD)

The Lead Truck Mechanic is responsible for timely completion of routine maintenance and emergency repairs of the DC truck fleet. Job duties Perform scheduled routine maintenance and diagnostics including but not limited to: tire changes/rotations, electrical and mechanical system checks Perform emergency repairs as identified by drivers and inspections i.e. brakes, vehicle lighting Proficiently perform and stick welding operations when and where required including but not limited to: cutting, braising, fabricating and routine maintenance Other duties as assigned: Maintain a clean and safe work area Replace worn and/or malfunctioning parts Advise management of all safety related concerns Decision Making Responsibilities: All decision making responsibilities are under the direct supervision of the DC Traffic Manager. All work is performed within standard policies/procedures and DOT regulations Minimum requirements
