Senior Accountant - (Omaha, NE)

Drake-Williams Steel is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting with financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, fixed asset tracking and sales/use tax return preparation. Looking for someone eager with excellent issue solving abilities who enjoys working in a quick paced and challenging environment. Huge potential for growth and leadership within the company working side by side with our controller. Essential Job Functions: 1. Maintain and prepare financial books, records and statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies. 2. Prepare bank reconciliation. 3. Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations. 4. Prepare month-end and year-end closing of the books. 5. Prepare monthly sales/use tax returns. 6. Maintain and acquire sales/use tax licenses. 7. Sales tax research. 8. Track and maintain fixed assets utilizing Asset Keeper. 9. Prepare financial reports to assist management with business decision making. 10.
