Customer Service Representative - (Elmira, NY)
Primary Function: Service customers and sales representatives and/or distributors for assigned products. 1. Receive orders, determine what is required and, when necessary, interpret customer's prints, write-up and price all new orders and enter them in computer. Determine, if ordered items are standard, off the shelf, or require engineering. Issue a customer master file maintenance sheet for each new customer and maintain customer files in computer. 2. Coordinate the shipping date of orders and modes of transportation with Production and Inventory Control. Issue re-acknowledgements to customers for orders rescheduled by Production and Inventory Control. 3. Issue return of goods authorization forms and tags and when goods are received and inspected, write up appropriate credit, secure approval and enter credit memo in computer.
