Position summary:The primary purpose of this position is to support local and corporate projects and develop a robust supply chain to ensure marketable pricing, excellent quality and fair lead-times for all products.Responsibilities:*Optimizes company spending by driving best value efforts and improving overall supplier performance management.*Creates commodity specific sourcing strategies and supplier agreements to optimize supplier base and lower total cost.*Conducts contract and price negotiations and implements vendor agreements.*Lead supplier selection.*Identifies risks in supply chain and develops risk mitigation plans.Education/Background/Knowledge:*Bachelor's degree with a focus in business.*Min of 3yrs of background in purchasing/procurement, preferably in manufacturing.*Background with ERP systems required, SAP preferred.
