Mechanical Engineering Specialist/APL - (Mcintosh, AL)

Mechanical Engineering Specialist for the Annealing & Pickling line (APL). Has overall mechanical engineering responsibility to assess, evaluate, troubleshoot, debug, design, maintain and repair complex systems and components necessary for the stainless manufacturing operations. Supervises the work of mechanical specialists and mechanical maintenance staff personnel (has no expertise to hire/fire/discipline). Overall responsibility to maintain the functionality, plant safety and high availability of the production facilities within the APL. Responsible for planning, coordination and handling of repairs on mechanical systems. Organize and define maintenance standards and keep them updated. Ensure that maintenance plans are up to date in the SAP-PM. Review notifications distribute and schedule the work orders to the teammates. Analyze breakdown records and fault finding. Responsibility for implementation and judgments with respect to the continuous improvement proposals.
