Engineer II - (Monroe, LA)

Define and develop strategy for the implementation of new network facilities assuming the most feasible and economic means. Analyze local and wide area network systems including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites. Complete network designs and cost analysis for projects/sites in the assigned area. Create network designs that encompass additions, rearrangements and removal to facilities as driven by customer contracts, capacity needs and/or network reliability enhancements. Create an approved funding package with a Scope of Work that information the projects costs, hardware and software, due date, circuit strategy and what the intended benefit will be when the project is completed. Integrate new approved products into the network. Analyze the existing network to drive toward the most up-to-date and reliable network. Collaborate with vendors on tactical issues that arise during the course of daily ongoing network activities.
