Design Engineer - couplings - (Greenville, SC)

Well established company with an international presence that has a good working culture located in the beautiful upstate of SC has an opportunity for a Design Engineer - couplings. In this role will design and create new and existing product improvement and cost reduction with limited supervision while integrating the need of manufacturing and sales for the organization. All phases of product development from design concepts to release for production will be executed. Will manage new development projects which include costs, schedules, tooling and agency approvals. In order to maintain design integrity will perform solid modeling designs. Products will be evaluated for stress analysis, strength of material, fluid flow,--static analysis, metallurgy and elements of machine design for designing products. Engineering drawings will be interpreted checking for accuracy, dimensional tolerances and completeness of all design drawings and specification sheets.
