Behavior Intervention SpecialistHourly/Non-ExemptSummary: The Behavior Intervention Specialist is directed by the Regional Manager to work one-on-one with residents who pose a threat to themselves or others in the residential facilities. The Behavior Intervention Specialist will work with these residents during non-school and waking hours to provide additional supervision to maximize resident safety.Education & Background: Must be a registered Qualified Mental Health Professional Child (QMHP-C) by the Virginia Board of Counseling with at least one year of background working with children diagnosed with a mental illness in a Residential setting.Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.RESIDENT PHYSICAL CARE* Working no more than an "arm's length" away from the resident at all times* Administer 1st aid to resident in response to minor medical problems as appropriate.* Notify Resident Staff Supervisor and/or Program Director of any significant resident complaints.RESIDENT
