Animal Control Officer Part-time - (Jeffersonville, IN)

Clark County, Indiana is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part time Animal Control Officer to support the full time Animal Control Officer. An animal control officer enforces local and state animal control and animal welfare laws while providing public safety and humane care/treatment to animals. In addition, the person in this position has contact with the public and with all types of animals in different types of environments, and is responsible for capturing and/or collecting animals, writing citations and reports, and must be able to to respond to complaints and requests for info. The hours for this position vary and include weekends , holidays and evenings. The person in this position will share on call time with the full time Animal Control Officer. Job responsibilities will include: must possess a high-school certificate or equivalent must have an maintain at all times a valid driver's license, and must have a good driving history sufficient to be insured as a driver for the County
