EVENT PLANNING & FUNDRAISING INTERN Apply Now DESCRIPTION/POSITION OVERVIEW One Step Away is Greater Philadelphia s street magazine with a mission to provide a meaningful source of income to individuals experiencing homelessness or poverty while raising awareness and advocacy for the homeless community. 1 Step Away debuted in December 2009 and has been publishing monthly since. Every month, 1 Step Away works with approx 60 individuals as they strive to break the cycle of homelessness. One Step Away is looking for an intern for the Spring 2019 semester. The internship will focus on event planning and fundraising for our ninth Annual Champions Celebration fundraising event. This internship provides students a hands-on look at the event planning process, and the numerous components involved with managing an event from conception to execution.
