Definition & Key functions Benefits Supplemental Questions Under general supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks to provide the collection, disposal and diversion of solid waste within the community. Tasks: Performs a wide array of tasks that support refuse collection and disposal and diversion services to supplement the general mission of providing a clean, healthy and environmentally friendly community. Safely, effectively and efficiently operates a variety of heavy equipment on a limited basis to include a backhoe, loader, wood grinder, trommel screen, windrow turner/tractor, water truck, forklift and vertical balers. Operates an automated or manual refuse collection vehicle on a continual basis.
