Road Network Engineer - (Shelton, WA)

POSITION PURPOSE: The Road Network Engineer ensures cost effective maintenance of the forest road network providing safe and efficient transportation of logs and access for operations while minimizing sediment delivery and mass wasting events associated with road failures. This position provides technical environmental and civil engineering solutions to the NW Timberlands Division, designs and implements Best Management Practices (BMP) for road management, and reports on road related mitigation and compliance with Green Diamond's Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP). This position also oversees contractors in the performance of road mitigation and maintenance. This position is also responsible for managing updates in the Timberlands Management Details System (TMIS) records database and calculating log haul rates for harvest units.
