Lead Landscaper - (Santa Cruz, CA)

JOB OVERVIEW: Under general supervision, lead a small group and work as a team in the day-to-day landscaping, gardening and maintenance activities for the Santa Cruz Seaside Company's grounds and related properties. UNIQUE POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The lead is the most knowledgeable Gardener, who supervises a small work group and performs the most complex and difficult work. Wears company issued uniform. Works inside and outside in varying weather conditions. Must be available seven days a week. May work around dust and chemical fumes. Must be comfortable working in high places, up to 65ft. May be required to wear hardhats, gloves, boots, belts, dust masks, goggles, and ear plugs as work conditions vary. Willingness to conform to company grooming standards. JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): - Schedule, assign, train, and evaluate the work of staff. - Evaluate, plan, and perform the landscaping and gardening for the company's grounds.
