JOB OVERVIEW SUMMARY As a member of the Intellectual Property team, this position handles IP counseling, strategic patent preparation and prosecution, and other in-house IP responsibilities. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS * Handles strategic patent preparation and prosecution with a litigation perspective, IP counseling, IP transactional work, and validity and freedom to operate reviews * Collaborates with Legal, Science & Technology, Commercial, Regulatory, and Business Development colleagues to achieve company goals * Actively participates in Legal Department initiatives, identifies opportunities to enhance effectiveness of IP Department operations, educates and trains clients regarding IP practices and developments MIN QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / BACKGROUND / SKILLS: * BS degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related discipline * JD degree from an accredited US law school
