Marine Fishery Research Biologist - (Newport, OR)
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is excited to announce a permanent opening for a Marine Fishery Research Biologist located in Newport, Oregon. This position functions as a researcher and field crew leader providing research, analytical, and field support to the research project leader. Duties include designing and conducting field research, leading a field crew, analyzing data, and writing reports and scientific publications. Requirements: Two Years biological/ecological/oceanographic background that included at least 1 year of background at a technical/professional level; AND a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science, Marine Biology/Ecology, or a closely-related Bachelor's degree or 3 additional years of biological/ecological/oceanographic background. A Master's/Doctorate degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science, Marine Biology/Ecology, or closely-related degree may substitute for some background.
