HR Benefits Specialist - (Somerset, NJ)

Position overview The benefits specialist participates in the day-to-day operations of the human resources department and is responsible for the functions relating to welfare benefits and retirement package administration. The incumbent supports the Bank's departments and branches by managing the benefits practices, programs, policies, and procedures, and maintaining benefit information and tracking in the HRIS database. Essential functions Act as primary contact for all welfare benefit inquiries from managers and employees. Determine employee eligibility for benefits, distribute timely notices and info, enroll employees in plans, and prepare required documentation. Prepare and maintain employee records and documentation related to benefits, FMLA, leaves, COBRA, worker's compensation, etc. in multiple formats including electronic and paper files, ensuring accuracy of data.
