Remote Surgical Coder - (Orrville, OH)

Abstracts clinical details from a variety of medical records and assigns appropriate ICD ten CM and/or CPT codes to patient records according to established procedures. Analyzes, enters and manipulates database, confirms appropriate DRG assignments. Knowledge in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding required. Min Requirements 3+ years work background; Min six months medical coding and six months general clerical background required; 10,000 Alpha Numeric and Numeric keying speed required. Essential skills: Must have Multi-Specialty Coding Background Abstraction coding background required Profee/Physician Coding Background is a must have General Surgery Coding Background a plus Additional Knowledge & Skills: Excellent overall knowledge of coding. Helps train and/or check work of level one coders. Answers questions of other coders. Education: High-school degree or equivalent work background; CPC or CCS required.
