Required ID: 24802 Shift: Days Employment Status: AF - Active - Regular - Full-time POSITION DETAILS The Transplant Insurance serves as an expert on transplant insurance authorizations, coordination, and financial counseling to patients and families. Collaborates with members of the Transplant Team, and works closely with the Transplant Intake Coordinator, from the point of the initial referral. Works with patients and families from the point of initial referral through evaluation for transplantation, and continues through and after transplantation. Advises patients on anticipated procedure costs and any out of pocket expenses, including deductibles and co-payments. Maintains and develops positive relationships, and clear lines of communication with insurance representatives from multiple insurance companies who can provide precertification/authorization guidelines unique to their company. Works with health insurance providers to determine coverage, benefit limits, and financial responsibility.
